Hunky Dory to Hara Kari, and back ...
So, Saturday I reported that everything was hunky dory and it had blown by. And I wanted to believe that, but then there was a weird day. Or wasn't it? Tuesday I walked in the house and took my shoes off and suddenly had a stabbing pain so bad that Allan had to help me to the couch and I didn't move for the rest of the night. Interestingly, I used a hot pack instead of an ice pack. I have never been able to figure out which to use, and I usually keep the packs in the freezer, because I figure a microwave will heat up anything quickly, but I don't have a quick-cold mechanism. I got used to using ice packs because I did a lot of (web) research when I had that tight tendon, and I read a report that said that traditionally heat was always used, but that there were some tests showing that cold was actually better.
Anyway, the point, Hemingway, is that the heat seemed to work. I took a tub to work so that I could soak the pack in hot water to heat it up, and I seem to be over it. Weird.
