Signed up for the half-marathon and started running!

Have been running every other day for 8 days now. Trying to get my speed up, so starting out at distances short enough to run at the pace I want. Over the four days I increased my running distance until I was running the bridge-to-bridge loop, today even passing the apartment to go back to the bridge before turning around there and coming home. A little afraid that I am already slowing down, but at least it isn't just a slow jog so I am ok with it. On Thursday I will plan to do two full loops, I think, and then next week I can start heading down the real path and be able to judge distance and speed based on the kilometer marker lines. Yay!
